DO I NEED UNCURLY CLASSIC OR UNCURLY PLUS?
Same Ingredients, Different Strengths
- Uncurly Classic and Uncurly Plus contain exactly the same ingredients, but Uncurly Plus is a stronger concentration.
- “Stronger” does not mean harsh or damaging. Both Uncurly Classic and Uncurly Plus are incapable of damaging your hair because they don’t break the hair’s molecular bonds the way relaxers, texturizers, and Japanese thermal reconditioning do.
- Instead, Uncurly works by means of a protective keratin “topcoat” that smooths curl, eliminates frizz, and restores abused hair to like-new condition.
- Both Uncurly Classic and Uncurly Plus are 100% safe for weak, damaged hair, and may be used on top of previous keratin treatments, relaxers, or hair color/bleach.
When to Choose Uncurly Classic:
- Now in its 6th year of fabulous, high-performance results, Uncurly Classic is as effective as any salon’s Brazilian keratin treatment – indeed, more effective than many salon keratins, according to our clients.
- Even if you had mediocre results from a salon keratin treatment, Uncurly Classic may still be right for you. When in doubt, do not hesitate to contact us for help determining the right formula for your goals. You might also consider ordering a sample.
UNCURLY CLASSIC MAY BE A BETTER CHOICE IF:
- You had great results with Uncurly Classic or other professional keratin treatments; OR
- You have Type 2 or Type 3 curls and want a frizz-free, smoothed out look, AND WHEN YOU — USE HEAT to style you still want more bend (ex: the ends turned under or flipped up) or some curl or wave, as opposed to a straighter style; OR
- You have low-volume or fine hair and are concerned about it looking too flat or thin.
When to Choose Uncurly Plus:
- Uncurly Plus is formulated for hair that needs a treatment with extra “oomph” due to intense or resistant curl, extreme humidity, or preference for straighter hair. Types 3 and 4 hair will still retain some curl, particularly when air-dried, but when heat is used, they will smooth out more rapidly and easily than hair treated with Uncurly Classic. Frizz control will also be stronger and the treatment will last longer than Uncurly Classic.
- Uncurly Plus has been extraordinarily well received by its intended clientele.
- As Uncurly Plus wears off, the hair will pass through the stage it would have reached with Uncurly Classic.
UNCURLY PLUS MAY BE A BETTER CHOICE IF:
- You’ve used Uncurly Classic before and think your hair would perform even better with a more powerful treatment; OR
- Your hair is difficult to straighten (i.e., Type 4a/b/c and some Type 3a/b/c hair) or has an extreme frizz problem; AND
- WHEN YOU — USE HEAT to style (blow dry, flat iron), you prefer a very straight look with less curl, bend, wave. You will still retain some loosened curl when air drying — particularly Type 4 hair — but it will be less than with Uncurly Classic.

I love this keratin treatment. I have used it before in the past and I just placed another order for it recently. I received it very fast and just like before worked wonders on my hair. I’d absolutely give this 10 stars if I could. My hair looks and feels fabulous, and it’s not flat which I was scared of. I’ve had a few bad keratin experiences before (in a salon, Keratin Express, I think?, that washed out in a month, and two home products that barely made a dent) so despite the good reviews online I was prepared to be at least somewhat disappointed but WOW. I had a Brazilian Blowout 4 years ago as a Christmas present and I loved the effects but my husband and I are grad students and it’s not in the budget right now. Someone gave me some Uncurly to try and the results were incredible. I’ve got a ton of stress in my life and it may sound shallow but I feel a lot better when my hair looks good. My previous keratin had completely worn off and my hair was WILD. When I say wild I meant I’d straighten it and get a teeny bit warm and I’d look like I’d had my fingers in sockets and have to do it all over again! I tied my hair up all week to let it really do its thang and only washed it off just now and OMG I am delighted! It’s softened my curl pattern A LOT, more than any other keratin treatment has and I have paid over £100+ before. I’m fine with the current curl pattern as I never wear my hair curly anyway. I just blow dried it and put a little coconut oil on the ends and I’m good to go, no need for flat ironing! I didn’t even blow dry it properly, I just brushed my hair with the hair dryer blasting it as its bed time so when I section it and do it properly it’ll be even more sleek! I’m absolutely delighted! I used Uncurly for the first time in 2015 and have absolutely LOVED the results! I hadn\’t had a decent keratin treatment since salons switched to the “lite” version years ago, which just doesn\’t work on my hair. Put my hair in a pony tail? Take it out and it stays smooth and straight. Get caught in a rain shower? It stays smooth and straight. I just pull it straight while drying with a hair dryer and run out the door. I just wanted to say how great Uncurly is. I\’ve done two treatments now, and the results are exactly like a salon Brazilian Blowout. The process is easy, and with my shoulder-length hair, it looks like I\’ll get 5 treatments from one bottle of Uncurly. I am totally amazed at how well this system works! I have very thick mixed curly/wavy/FRIZZY long hair that is a true PIA. I had a Brazilian blowout last year which took nearly 5 hours to accomplish and cost over $500.00.
I absolutely loved it, but the time and expense were in my opinion prohibitive. Also I had it done in Dallas while on a business trip and I don\’t think anyone in the super eco-friendly Asheville NC where we reside most of the time even does the real version anyway.
I\’ve been having my hair professionally blown out every week since it wore off and keeping in a bun when we are at our lake house since I cannot handle my bushy fuzzy looking hair.

I’ve been using Uncurly for 4 years. Literally all my life my hair has looked terrible with an uneven wave/ curl, super thick and frizzy, always triangulated at the bottom (if you’ve got this problem you’ll know what I mean). It used to take me an hour to blow dry and flat iron and it still looked bad, especially the back because it took an insane amount of stretching and rolling to get it right and my wrists and patience weren’t enough. Half an hour later it was frizzed again no matter what products I put in it. Uncurly is absolutely amazing. My hair ALWAYS looks great, even after I workout!!! Also, because of the manageability it gives, I’ve been able to switch to a more flattering hairstyle knowing that it won’t frizz. Never thought I’d be able to wear bangs but I am, and they look so much better on me! It takes under 15 minutes to blowdry from dripping wet, then I finesse it with a few quick slides with the flat iron. It looks as good as when my stylist does it and it lasts all day. I may not even need to touch it up the next day. It doesn’t frizz or kink up in the humidity which is saying a lot because I live in Virginia Beach where it’s year-round humid. I have had the dreaded unruly curly hair my entire life, and it got worse after I had my daughter. I cannot even walk to my car from my front door on a humid day without the frizz starting. I live on the Jersey Shore, so there\’s always some kind of frizz inducing moisture in the air. I have been paying over $200 for professional keratin treatments for the past few years, plus God knows what I\’ve spent on all of the other hair products I use. My curly haired friend told me that I HAD TO try Uncurly…and so I did. This is the greatest product EVER. I knew it worked as soon as I washed it because my hair felt silky before I even used the dryer. I only had to dry it for 4 minutes (as opposed to my normal 15 of pulling and ironing!)…no product, no flat iron, and my hair is smoother than it has ever been, and straight, but with some body too! It looks like I just stepped out of a salon, but BETTER!There is no breakage, no color fading…just beautiful, silky hair! I am beyond THRILLED and can\’t stop staring at my hair in the mirror and touching it. I\’ve tried just about every product and this is by far the best one I have ever used. I am IN LOVE! I just wanted to let you know that I am absolutely in love with Uncurly. For the first time ever in my life I am able to blow dry my hair without it looking and feeling like a Brillo pad. My course Irish/Hispanic hair is thinning and all the way down my back. I would normally wet wrap it after every shower and leave it to dry overnight but now all I need is a good 10 minute blow dry and another 10 to flat iron it. I’ve always struggled with my hair’s texture and since moving from the desert of Arizona to the humidity of Texas I was also trying to tame the kink and frizz. My hair is naturally wavy but that wave does crazy things in the humidity and no amount of product can tame my frizz. A friend of mine talked me into trying the Brazilian blow out treatment a year ago and I loved what it did but the cost was prohibitive. I was skeptical before trying Uncurly and planned ahead of time to be disappointed in yet another product, but thought for the price I would give it a try and what if it really did work? I found the entire process to be simple. The smell was the same as when I had it done in the salon and I kept a fan going to dissipate that and once the treatment was over there was no lingering smell such as you would have for days after a perm. I have even been in the rain and my hair did not frizz or fall flat. After I wash my hair now with just a quick blow dry I have achieved what would normally take me a good deal of blow drying with a round brush and then another investment of time with the flat iron. My hair is silky soft and manageable and it stays that way! I can still have my waves and they look so much better as they are smoother and even touchable. The texture of my hair does not feel as coarse and it seems healthier after the treatment and not as dry. To say that I am a satisfied customer would be an understatement. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product. It has saved me hours of time after I wash my hair. What I really like is that I can let my hair air dry and it will be less frizzy and less puffy with a bit of a curl but if I want it totally straight I can flat iron it just a bit-maybe for six minutes and I’m done. So happy with it. I have really thick, challenging hair so Uncurly has really saved me. Highly recommend it.
I’ve tried many other Keratins. Some were either too toxic smelling or too weak but this one was easy, a tad bit smelly for a few minutes, and actually works. I also like the personal phone call I got back from the company when I had a question. During my stay in California (I’m from Netherlands) at the beginning of the year I heard about the Brazilian Keratin Treatment for the first time. I have suffered from very curly/frizzy hair my whole life so it was indeed very interesting to me. I soon discovered that it was very expensive but I found a salon which offered me a reasonable price since my hair was not so long. It was great, I was very happy and immediately I wanted to find a home version that was affordable so that I could also do my daughter’s hair, she too has issues with fizzy hair. Happily I found the Uncurly.com site and decided to order the kit.
I studied the videos on YouTube on how to actually do the whole procedure, there are many available which made it very easy. The results were great, just as good as the treatment I had at the hairdresser, my daughter was thrilled, No More Frizz, instead beautiful shiny hair! She just washes her hair now and in fact doesn’t blow dry it just enjoys the lovely loose curls. I recently did the second treatment and again it worked just like the first time. I absolutely recommend Uncurly.

I have naturally messy hair, that will not really curl or straighten on its own, but it’s definitely more on the curly side and there’s a lot of it which is why it naturally poofs. I have been using keratin for about 5 years, mostly at home, but also at salons a few times. In that time, I have tried several types and brands including 2 types of “Global Keratin”, one of which was disappointing and the other fantastic. If you have ever bought or researched Global, you know it’s one of the most expensive in the market, as well as the best. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Uncurly, at less than a quarter of the cost, was as good as the best Global has to offer. The effects lasted about 5 months, and lingered for a couple more months after that. My mom and I both used it, and it still have enough in the bottle for one more application. It was easy to use, although keratin applications are always time-consuming; we were thrilled that it did not call for 3-4 days without washing or styling the hair! Just as with any good keratin, the hair was much healthier and easy to straighten, blow-drying time was reduced to maybe 1/5, flat-ironing was almost unnecessary and used only for minor shaping. This is a great product for an amazing price, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants salon results at home!
